I don’t know how many of you have been on a diet, but I can tell you my first time was after my son was born (now he is 6). Is incredible how your body changes after having a child. Some moms might experience it and some might not, while others without having kids experience changes. I started a low carb diet a year after my son was born but although it worked, it was difficult to maintain. My mom and cousin had try Weight Watchers in the past successfully. So when I moved here to Fort Collins, I decided to give it a try. After all, I needed to loose 20lb, and not precisely to be back to my pre-baby body!
So it took me one year with ups and downs but I did it. I am a lifetime member now.. I kept the weight off effortlessly (I am serious) for 2 years. But yes… stress and sweets don’t mix well. Disaster! I gained it back sloooooowly but did gained it back. Until I decided to put it stop again.
This time my husband on board. Last time I was in WW my husband lost 10 pounds just by eating what I cooked! and when I lost my weight he started to exercise! lol hmm I wonder why! But the thing is that he didn’t wanted to do the program with me. It was funny because his idea of the WW program was that of a harsh diet when is not. WW is a lifestyle, is what I like to call it! It is not difficult to follow, what is difficult is to break unhealthful habits!
So this year, my husband by himself, decided to join me. It is funny because now he is learning the point system and memorizing what is more interesting to him.. like snacks, his night time cookies and milk and beer! lol The other day while chatting he sent me a link from the WW website about beer cheating! lol At least he is having fun with it! So far I can tell that he is happy doing it. Last week we got sick and stopped but this week we are back on plan. I have to tell that having him in the program is easier than doing it alone.
I also have a diet buddy friend who is doing the
program too, with which we send each other (at least we used to at the beginning) what we ate during the day and that helped out to keep us on program. Hmmm, just to think what she might think of me, because I ate that OREO, made me think it twice!
I have learned a lot while being in program, and is so easy that my husband is not complaining much. I learned a lot when I did the program the first time and I keep discovering things everyday. But I am glad that this time I have my life buddy with me on the same boat! <3
