Just wanted to share the Spanish version of "We are the World" called "Somos el Mundo". I think is beautiful and the translation is awesome! Is as touchy as the original version..

I know some people think the original version is sacred and even don't like the new recorded version (which I don't like either), that's why I thought I might not like the Spanish version. But I do and I wanted to share it with you guys.. specially because it features lots of Puerto Rican singers, like Ricky Martin, Chayanne, Luis Fonsi, Ednita Nazario, Kanny Garcia, and Jose Feliciano among others...

I think even when I don’t like the new English version, I love the idea behind re-recording it again. At the end, they are just trying to get $$ for our Haitian brothers and sister that are living the worst part of their lives while we sit here comfortable in our homes with a roof over us, clothes to choose from to dress us, food to nurture us, a warm bed to rest and a family that loves us and to love. Let’s be grateful for what we have… every single day of our lives! :) 

My son loves the English version (I haven’t yet showed him the Spanish version) and he is learning it! I think is a great song with a great message and can’t wait to hear him sing the whole thing! I might record him and post it! But by teaching him the song I know I am teaching him more than letters…
