HONEY BUTTER WHEAT SANDWISH BREAD RECIPE YOU MUST TRY

When thinking about going back to basics in food preparation the first think that comes to my mind is bread making. Ever since I found that bread machine in a give away table, I’ve been exploring in the internet for recipes that please both me and my family, specially “Sandwich Bread”. I love to search for new recipes to try and I constantly explore the internet for cooking related stuff. May be in my other life I was a chef! lol

Looking back at my Bread machine odyssey, I’ve been exploring new recipes and old ones with my new machine and all I can say is that so far I love it! Today I tried a new bread recipe that I will share. I can say that we all loved it and is a great sandwich bread option if you want to go back to basics and try to make your own bread (that is much cheaper and healthful that store bought ones).

This recipe was not made for bread machine but I still tried it with it.

HONEY BUTTER WHEAT SANDWISH BREAD

Ingredients:

3/4 cups of water + 1/4 cup of Orange Juice

1 teaspoon of salt

2 Tablespoons of both Honey and Butter

1/2 cup of Whole Wheat Flour

2 cups of Bread Flour

1/3 cup of dry non-fat milk

2 teaspoons of Active Dry Yeast

1/4 cup Milled Flaxseed (optional)

Instructions:

Bread Machine: select 1.5 pounds loaf, light crust setting, whole wheat cycle (works perfectly well in the Rapid cycle)

Oven: Mix and knead as any other bread and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

After tasting it and having my family’s Thumbs UP… I put it in a bag to save it in the fridge while my husband asking “why are you putting it there?” as I answered “because this bread is as  fresh as it can be, and it DOES NOT HAVE ALL THE PRESERVATIVES THAT STORE BOUGHT ONES HAVE!”… “no wonder bread is lately in the fridge!” he answered with approval smile! :)
